Juja MP George Koimburi arrested
Juja MP George Koimburi, an ally of former Deputy President Hon. Rigathi Gachagua, has allegedly been arrested by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), according to claims made by Kiambu Senator Karung'o Wa Thang'wa on Twitter.
The arrest comes just hours after Koimburi made controversial remarks, claiming that President William Ruto carried sacks of money to bribe African Presidents during the African Union Commission (AUC) polls, but faced backlash after Djibouti's candidate, Mahmoud Youssouf, emerged victorious.
Karung'o Wa Thang'wa tweeted, “DCI at it again. They have arrested Juja MP George Koimburi. Reason? They are yet to say!”
